How to RemoveMakeup Stains From Clothing

There are two types of makeup stains; non-oily makeup stains caused by powders, and oily makeup stains like those caused by foundation. Usually, oily makeup causes the most severe and unpleasant stains. If you use makeup you've most likely dealt with both types of makeup stains.  But if you have Resolve®, getting makeup stains out of clothing shouldn't be a problem.

For the best results, follow the instructions on Resolve® Pre Treat - Trigger to effectively remove makeup stains.

Using Resolve®

Often, a makeup stain may leave a faint oily mark if removed without a detergent product; make sure to check for this before drying the stained item otherwise this mark will become very difficult to remove.

  • Remove non-oily makeup stains like eye shadow and blush by lightly brushing the powder off the clothing. Be careful not to spread the stain further.

  • Use clean water to rinse and then blot as much fluid out of the stained area as possible with a clean cloth or napkin.

  • For oil stains, take a clean, damp paper towel or cloth and dab the oil stain for a few minutes. Be careful not to spread the stain.

  • As soon as you can, spray the stained area with Resolve® Pre Treat - Trigger, covering it completely.

  • Wait up to 5 minutes before rubbing into the stain.

  • Wash according to care label instructions in the warmest water recommended.
